Memories - 100 Years
Ago
August 28 will be known as Chamber
of Commerce Day in Port Huron, and a monster
excursion and old-fashioned basket picnic
will be at Tashmoo Park. Mayor Bell will
declare this date a civic holiday, and
it is expected that all merchants and
manufacturing institutions will close
their places of business and allow their
employees to participate in the event.
