Sailor Superstitions

Event Description:
Ancient superstitions were believed to be an important element for bringing sailors home safely. Many are still held today. Learn the history and impact on todays industrial, military, and recreational sailors. Ages 9 - Adult. Presented by: Captain Jack Sparrow. Family programs are free with exhibit admission (except as indicated). Most family programs are recommended for children age 6 and older. All programs begin at 1 p.m., and last about an hour. Because each class size is limited, pre-registration is strongly encouraged by calling 810-982-0891. For some programs there is a nominal $3.00 charge to purchase the optional kit to make the project that is presented in each program. It is not necessary to purchase a kit to attend a program.
