The schedules below are standard, but subject to change.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
Monthly meeting of the Board of Directors who are the policy making body of the chamber.
ADVOCACY - WE ARE THE VOICE OF BUSINESS:
Public Affairs Committee - address and speak to issues that affect our members and business community in general regarding taxation, environment, border security, commerce, health care, and pending legislation. Facilitate annual State of the County Address and other civic events and council candidate forums.
EDUCATION:
Business Education Committee - create business education programs for businesses in the Blue. Facilitate the annual Leadercast program which is a world-renowned, full-day leadership development program simulcast from Atlanta, GA to over 5,000 locations all over the globe - including Port Huron, Michigan.
GOLF:
“Drive Fore Success” Golf Fundraiser - The annual golf outing fundraiser is the sole fundraising event for the chamber operations and supports technology improvements geared at promoting our members in the most effective ways. The committee coordinates a fun day on the course with a networking reception, dinner and prize party afterward.
FINANCE:
Financial Oversight Committee – provide financial oversight of the Chamber on behalf of the Board of Directors for budget, financial reports, alternative revenue resources, affinity programs and fundraising.
AMBASSADORS:
Blue Water Ambassadors Committee – Provide assistance to staff with prospects and existing membership outreach activities. Demonstrates support of members by helping to coordinate, promote and participate in grand openings, ribbon cuttings and other special events.
NETWORKING:
Business After 5 (BA5) Networking Mixer Committee - The committee coordinates monthly Social networking mixers held on the 2nd Thursday, 5-7PM, at qualified member establishments and networking activities and games, 50/50 raffles, door prizes, food and adult beverages and entertainment for the events.
Morning Mingle –
November 12, 8AM - 10AM, Chamber Office, 512 McMorran Boulevard. Breakfast sponsored by Brenda Hoffman, AAA Insurance - Hoffman Agency
December 10, 8AM - 10AM, Chamber Office, 512 McMorran Boulevard. Breakfast sponsored by Qualified Staffing
